It's 1386.

Imagine the portions of food consumed during Thanksgiving, the money exchange during Chinese New Year, and the alcohol consumption of St. Patricks Day (with a lot of hip shaking), all wrapped up in one.

It's our new year, which means we jump over fire, have a picnic with over a thousand families, and dance dance dance until our feet fall off. Recovering from the amount of food that will enter the persian human body today will be tough.

Around the same time last year, I was in the motherland, playing bingo, getting harassed on the streets for wearing leggings, and re-connecting with family I hadn't seen in over ten years. Iran is a vibrant country in the Spring. Snapshots are more conducive than words:
